Manufacturing Methods for SIPs
Murus Structural Insulated Panels are produced using manufacturing approaches designed to meet important goals such as creation of superior product performance, continuous improvement in energy efficiency, and pursuit of the highest quality possible.
For example, Murus uses a proprietary manufacturing method called Uniform Dispersion Molding (UDM). UDM injects liquid polyurethane foam between two SIP skins in a highly consistent fashion. The process results in the superior strength and high R-values of our Murus PUR SIPs.
We also engage in a systematic quality control process that includes product testing by an independent third-party inspection and certification agency. That is in addition to Murus performing random QC inspections at its own manufacturing facility.
